I am delighted to be a part of the teaching/learning team and whanau at New Shoots Hobsonville since it opened in April 2018. I consider myself very fortunate to work in an environment where the values and beliefs are so close to my own. My ECE teaching career began in 2005 where I worked and studied towards qualifying with a Diploma of Teaching in 2010 and upgraded to a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) in 2017. This upgrade degree qualification included a specialised paper on teaching infants and toddlers, an area within ECE that I am extremely passionate about.   I enjoy creating environments which empower children as they explore, investigate and create working theories about the world they live in. The Pikler and Reggio Emilia approach inter-woven within our New Zealand curriculum of Te Whariki greatly inspire my teaching practice. My husband and I moved from India to Paraparaumu, Wellington in 2003 and are parents to our pre-teen son. In my spare time I enjoy exploring around Auckland, baking and visiting craft markets.
