Quirina graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 2012.  She havs been working in Early Childhood since 2009, and absolutely loves it.  Since 2013 she has been in leadership roles across the sector and developed her ability to coach and mentor staff.  She became part of the New Shoots whānau in 2018 as the Centre Director.

“My personal and professional philosophy is underpinned by respect; for children, parents/whānau, colleagues, the community and the environment.  I also place relationships at the forefront of my practice, so I believe in building and maintaining respectful, responsive, and reciprocal relationships with parents and whānau, where the Centre has a homely feel, and everyone who enters feels a sense of belonging, are inspired to explore and learn, and where teachers and whānau grow together.

When I am not working I love singing with my family, exploring the outdoors, taking pictures, and expressing myself through the arts and playing the ukulele.”
