Karyn Charles - Centre Director

Karyn Charles began her career in early childhood education in 2007, graduating with a Diploma of Teaching and Learning (Early Childhood Education) in 2010 and a Bachelor of Education in 2012.

“I’m passionate about creating an environment rich with aroha, respect, education and care; focused on providing positive outcomes for children and their whānau. I believe that relationships and play are the foundations of lifelong learning.

I joined the New Shoots team in 2011 with the opening of the Papamoa centre and I’ve enjoyed both teaching and leadership roles. I became Centre Director in 2016 when Sandhurst opened and I’m loving the role.”
