We love the world we live in and we know you do too.
That’s why we’re committed to minimising the social, environmental and ethical impact of supply chains. Like you, we try to purchase goods and services with this in mind.
We’re responsible for our world
Here are some of the ways we’re being mindful of the world around us:
Sustainable Business Network
New shoots Management are a member of the Sustainable Business Network
As members, we are committed to:
— Improving our sustainability performance.
— Working together to empower business so people and nature prosper.
— Supporting the restoration of New Zealand’s waterways through our membership contribution to Million Metres.
Our certification can be viewed here.
Carefully thought-out cleaning systems reduce your child’s risk of coming into contact with toxins and chemicals. One of the products we use is the New Zealand ‘Ecostore’ range of products: nappy balm, sprays (this excludes nappy change areas), soaps and laundry powders. The Ecostore is certified as Child Labour Free.
Resources and equipment
All our resources are curated by the people who work with them every day - your children’s teachers. They’re passionate about building a unique, high-quality, toxin-free resource and equipment collection you can trust. These include BPA-free, phthalate-free, lead-free wooden cots, equipment and high quality toys that use natural dyes and oils. Even better, we include many natural materials: stone, metals, wood, clay, plants as well as second hand and repurposed items.
Love the toys you see in our child care centres? We also run Curiate, a supply company, which sells gorgeous, distinctive resources for encouraging learning through play.

The best way to find out if we’re the right centre for you is by seeing it for yourself. Please come in for a visit, we’d love to meet you.
