Sophie Blair has been working in ECE since 2005. She holds a National Level 6 Certificate in ECE. She joined the New Shoots Whānau in 2014, undertaking an incredible journey as the new centre developed. She believes in the Pikler philosophy, ensuring her teaching practice follows 'head, heart and hands.'

“I love giving 100% because teaching is my passion. It's more than just a job to me, it's an extension of my whānau. I am passionate about quality care for infants and their families. Advocating for them and providing them with a warm, loving environment where they feel safe and secure to develop into confident, competent learners.

Family and friends are very important to me. As a mother of 3 beautiful children, and wife to an awesome husband, we live a life full of love and adventure attending motor cross, horse riding, exploring bush walks and wrangling our small pony (large dog) Buck, who is my running partner.”
