CHARMAINE GARRITY - TEACHER

Charmaine became an Early childhood Educator after having her own children, and working in child minding and after school care.

“I firmly believe and value that each child is a unique individual with their own strengths and abilities. It is important to me to allow a child's natural curiosity and ability direct his/her learning. I am drawn to play based learning where children can grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially as per their capabilities at their own speed. I enjoy building positive respectful trusting relationships with not only the children but their families.

I love being part of the New Shoots whānau and I am looking forward to studying for my Bachelor of Teaching.

Outside of work I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and children, watching movies, reading a good book, fashion and dining out.”
