Stacie has been working with children for over 15 years. In the past she has worked in after school care, as a camp counsellor in the USA, as a home care support worker for children with intellectual disabilities and as a teacher aide which inspired her to become a primary school teacher. She has a Bachelor of Education from The University of Auckland.

“Tena koutou katoa, Ko Ngāti Raukawa me Ngāi tahu oku iwi. I am passionate about learning and children’s development. I recently became a Mother to Miller who is in the infant room here at New Shoots. Becoming a Mother inspired me to change my career path and begin teaching in ECE. Lifelong learning is important to me and I am excited to have the opportunity to learn in such a positive and nurturing centre.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our daughter, singing in a covers band, listening to music, cooking, exploring foreign food and the walking on the beach. It is an honour to watch your children explore and understand the world around them and to be a part of their learning journey”.
