Top 5 Centre Benefits

Growing our New Shoots Community

New Shoots Rosedale is a thoughtfully reimagined early childhood centre designed for connection, creativity and curiosity.

Tucked behind Rosedale’s commercial hub and bordered by a tree-lined reserve, this centre offers a nuturing learning environment just minutes from the motorway. Ideal for families living nearby, working locally, or commuting to the city, New Shoots Rosedale blends convenience with a nature-connected setting that supports play, learning and belonging.

A Place that feels Right

From the moment your child starts at New Shoots Rosedale, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our kaiako take the time to truly know each child — their cues, interests, and rhythms — creating a calm and secure environment where they feel safe to explore and grow.

We maintain quality ratios and small group sizes, allowing for responsive, attentive care throughout the day. This means your child is not just part of a room, but known as an individual.

Our days are thoughtfully paced, balancing care routines with opportunities for play, connection, and discovery. For our youngest pēpi through to our preschoolers, each stage is supported with intention and consistency.

Purposeful Learning

At New Shoots Rosedale, learning is guided by Te Whāriki, Aotearoa New Zealand’s early childhood curriculum, and brought to life through purposeful play and intentional teaching.

Our kaiako design experiences that support the development of oral language, confidence, and social connection — recognising these as the foundations for lifelong learning.

You’ll see this in the way children are encouraged to express themselves, solve problems, build relationships, and make sense of the world around them. Learning happens through meaningful interactions, rich conversations, and environments that invite curiosity.

Our spaces have been carefully considered to support this approach — offering a balance of calm, natural elements and engaging areas for exploration. Indoor and outdoor environments work together to extend children’s thinking and support a wide range of learning experiences.

Where Nature meets Play

Our outdoor spaces at New Shoots Rosedale have been designed to invite adventure, imagination, and connection.

Children have opportunities to climb, move, discover, and play in ways that feel natural and meaningful. With open-ended materials, purposeful spaces, and room to explore, the environment encourages curiosity while supporting physical confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of wellbeing.

It’s a place where tamariki can get messy, test ideas, build resilience, and experience the joy of learning through play.
