At New Shoots, everything begins with play. Children learn best when they are encouraged to explore and discover at their own pace, guided by skilled kaiako (teachers) who turn every moment into meaningful learning. Founded by early childhood educators, we’ve built our centres around this belief.
Our vision is to grow thriving, child-centred communities inspired by nature. Each of our centres is thoughtfully designed to nurture strong relationships and encourage learning through play. From sustainable practices to beautifully considered spaces, our approach is grounded in care, connection, and curiosity.

From the moment you step into one of our centres, you’ll feel the New Shoots difference: calm, natural spaces, passionate kaiako, and a deep sense of belonging.
We put play on a pedestal here. Our centres are places where tamariki (children) feel safe, whānau (families) are always welcome, and learning unfolds naturally through connection, exploration, and play. Guided by the latest research in early education, our kaiako continually find new ways to support each child’s unique journey.
