Located right off the Mangatawa exit, New Shoots Sandhurst offers an early childhood environment perfect for families living in central Pāpāmoa or commuting into town from Welcome Bay, Te Puke and further afield.
Every aspect of our purpose-built centre is designed to ensure learning is always inspired by nature. With an abundance of glass, earthy tones, sustainable resources, and the wafting scents of home-cooked food, your child will feel at home and at ease, letting discovery take centre stage.
Outside, we have a generous, organic space filled with huts and sandpits, water play and an everevolving mud pit. Open to all ages, our tamariki love to learn side by side as they make the most of Mother Nature’s many precious taonga.
At Sandhurst we proudly offer Akotanga Tūanuku (Outdoor Education) which is a bush kindy program offered to the ten oldest tamariki in the Taniwha room. By providing an enriched outdoor learning environment will allow our tamariki to challenge themselves and their learning.
Our teaching team takes joy in every milestone, empowering children to feel a sense of belonging and purpose. We have a strong bicultural practice, value the art of play, and treat our whānau with kindness and respect. Community involvement is an important part of who we are and we host many family-friendly events throughout the year.

New Shoots operates as a full day service and do not offer short days or sessions;
Our fees include high quality teacher ratios above Ministry of Education Standards;
Minimum enrolment is two days per week; A $50 enrolment fee will be due upon enrolment to confirm your place;
Two weeks notice is required when terminating enrolment; 10% discount is applicable to your eldest child’s fees if you have two or more children attending New Shoots full time;
Nappies and food are provided; and Formula is not provided – this must be brought in from home if required.
