New Shoots Sunnynook Childcare Centre

We believe in strong, respectful relationships and plenty of opportunity and room for tamariki to grow, learn and play. Our outdoor area is a communal space, providing plenty of  opportunity for siblings/cousins and children of different ages to build and maintain connections and share  learning opportunities. Whānau support teachers play an important role in relationship building both for the child and family. Plus, we have a strong commitment to bi-cultural practice.

We think of the environment as the third teacher. Sunnynook New Shoots offers a welcoming, natural environment that engages the child in a variety of learning possibilities.  We value the art of play - understanding that children explore their world, develop and consolidate knowledge, working theories and practice mastering dispositions for life (problem solving, perseverance, resilience, social and  emotional resilience) through play. These  dispositions lead to successful outcomes in any walk of life. We'd love to welcome you and your family to find out more.
